Second, tap or click the address bar and insert the four letters ssave directly before x.com, turning https://x.com/user/status/123 into https://ssavex.com/user/status/123. Third, open the new link: the video appears with a preview and a download button.

Notice what you did not do: you did not copy the link, open another tab, find a form, paste it, solve a captcha and hunt for the real download button among the fake ones. Because the post URL is the media URL, one keystroke-level edit is the whole downloader.

SSAVEX handles every kind of video X publishes on public posts. Standard videos arrive with every quality variant the platform generated — usually up to 1080p or 720p. X “GIFs” are downloaded as their original MP4 files, which every modern player loops automatically. Audio tracks are preserved exactly as they were uploaded.

Downloads are resumable: the transfer supports HTTP range requests, so a dropped mobile connection does not mean starting over. Files arrive with sensible names such as ssavex_username_postid_720p.mp4 so your downloads folder stays organized.
